You can also add some basic shading to make the hair stand out a little bit more once you finish the line drawing. Also, choose colors that support the character, vibe, mood, and feeling you want to express with the hair. Green, non-saturated, moss-like color supports the idea of a down-to-earth type of character, so in my mind, the color suits the character nicely.
Copy the rhythm lines along the strands to make them more detailed. If you draw additional lines between them, you'll create nice, thick strands. For this step, make sure all your sketch lines are gone. Using your 2H pencil build a soft layer of graphite in the hair area. When you have all part of the hair in place, check your drawing to make sure everything looks good.
