There are loads of places to eat and drink, thrilling water slides, and a friendly crew that will bend over backwards to make your cruise feel special. Some are great for destinations, others are more about the onboard experience. It depends on what you’re looking for as to which is the best one for you. Carnival Venezia is another ship that previously sailed for Carnival’s sister cruise line Costa Cruises, though she is more modern than Luminosa.
You won't find giant water parks on these vessels as you would on newer Carnival ships. You will find multiple slides and a spray park for the kids, though. Note that one of the Spirit-class ships, Carnival Luminosa, was originally built for Costa Cruises, a sister line to Carnival (it originally sailed under the name Costa Luminosa).
